Farewell to Christmas

That was last month! This morning, I finally cleaned up what had become Christmas clutter. It included all our decorations and the last of the gift boxes and wrapping paper. I have to admit, I find it just as exciting to go back to bare walls and empty shelves, even if it is just a few days before the picture frames and plants find their way out from their holiday hibernation.
But today, my house and my whole life seem decluttered and I am ready to start fresh. I will, of course, bring back some of the old and familiar (definately our routine!!) but I think I will also welcome some things new...

I know exactly what you mean. I did mine two weeks ago because I couldn't take the clutter anymore. I'm still reveling in the clean, spacious feel our tiny place can have after taking the tree, decorations, and all of that out. It's bliss. Your room looks great, and I love the shelves in the tv room like that. I'm also loving your blog.
I LOVE your blog, Jenn! Kudos to you for doing it. It's like a little cheerful light that brightens my days. I went back to keeping a daily journal this year, probably for the same reasons you do your blog, but I'll try not to be depressed that yours is so dang cute and well-written. I still can't remember which movie said we marry so we have someone to witness our life, but, similarly, a blog/journal also accounts for one's life and thoughts and feelings and allows others to witness that you lived. Keep it up! Love you and your blog!
