An Historic Patriot's Day
Did you know history was made today?
The fastest recorded time for running a marathon occurred today in Boston, Massachusetts!
The course doesn't actually qualify for an official world record, but none the less- history was made!
Kenyan Geoffry Mutai ran the Boston Marathon in two hours, three minutes and two seconds.

It was unbelievable.
Ryan Hall finished fourth with the fastest time ever run by an American and Kara Goucher (my favorite) finished fifth with her best marathon time ever AND after giving birth in September!
Desiree Davilla brought me to tears as she took the lead in the final stretch but had to settle for second after Caroline Kilel overtook her at the finish line.
It was an amazing and historic day for running whether you run or not.
