lights, camera, action

I know, I know. Today is Wednesday, not Tuesday. But if you only knew what my Tuesday was like! I took my picture on Tuesday, when I was out trying to finish the errands I didn't finish on Monday... doesn't that count for something? And instead of starting the laundry (typically a Monday job) I am posting! It's funny, I said back in November that life might slow down finally in March- HA!

Anyway- here is my picture. Funny story- I had a guy offer to take my picture when he saw me in the parking lot doing this self portrait. I told him that would be cheating and he laughed, then handed me his card- he is a professional photographer! I am SO glad he didn't ask to see the picture I ended up with!

I am guessing that Jill was kind enough to not post about the Lehi Roller Mills since I live in Lehi and she technically does not. In addition to really fabulous muffin mixes, the Lehi Roller Mills was one of the filming locations for Footloose. If you are too young to know this movie, I don't want to talk to you! :) But for those of you true 80's survivors, I'd say, this puts me within 2 degrees of Kevin Bacon!

So, Happy Self Portrait Tuesday, on Wednesday! I gotta cut loose...

{Happy Birthday Michelle! I hope you have a great day!}

People don't know about Footloose? That's just crazy to me. So funny that a photographer offered to take your picture.

Even though it is almost 11pm, the muffin mixes are sounding really good right now. I guess that means I need to get to bed!

YAY, you are back online! WooWoo! I am so happy to see you and see your spt. Hmmm, I haven't heard of the mill but I do love to cheat with quality mixes. I will have to look around here!

Hope all is well in your world, Jenn!

I was hoping someone would post the roller mill photo. I always felt like a celebrity as a child just knowing footloose was filmed there. Love that movie.

cute photo.

Hooray, I'm glad this is what you chose for your self-portrait. It is the first "famous" place I thought of when I read the assignment, but definitely felt like it was yours to claim more than mine. Cute picture.

St. Patrick's Day is here, you see.
We'll pick some shamrocks, one, two, three.
We'll count the leaves and look them over,
And maybe find a four-leafed clover.
I'll sew green buttons on my vest,
Green for St. Patrick is the best.
I'll wear a green hat, very high,
And dance a jig--at least I'll try!

Happy St. Patrick's Day!

I had no idea that movie was filmed in Utah. Just think of all the people you are only 3 degrees of seperation from with Kevin Bacon at 2 degrees.

I'm not sure how I missed this post. Of course you had to use Lehi Roller Mills! I took a group of friends to see Footloose in the theater for my 12th birthday! Yikes.
