as Emily would say- DELICIOSO!

This picture is from the last time I did fondue for bookclub. But my tummy is still so happy from doing it again last night, I had to write about it! Jill took pictures, so you'll have to watch her blog for those to show up. We had a pot of cheese, a pot of chocolate and a pot of caramel. We set up in Amy's front room so we could stay in one place all night to eat, visit and discuss I, Elizabeth. This is my list of what makes fondue so fabulous:
- bread dipped in cheese
- fresh pineapple dipped in chocolate
- granny smith apples in caramel
- granny smith apples in cheese
- double dipping (this may be the BEST part- just imagine it, taking a bite and thinking there wasn't enough caramel so you dip it again... FIVE dips later you finally finish that pretzel!)
- BIG plates!
- taking the same apple and having a bite in chocolate, the next bite in caramel and then a bite in cheese!
- licking sticky fingers
- eating slow and long
- piles of yummy food to load on your plate
- taking a break, then coming back and it's still warm!

You definitely have a gift for fondue, setting a pretty table, thinking and organizing all the details, and being generous enough to share it all with others. It was all so good, I'll have to think back on it fondly today because it's back to peanut butter sandwiches and cold cereal for me.
Do you share your cheese recipe?
You're making me jealous! Not to mention hungry. :)
I look forward to book club fondue nights more than any other! It's the perfect way to gather and eat without having to interrupt conversation. And Jenn is the best at it. Thanks, Jenn, for such a fun and delicious night!
Ohhhhh... it's all so fresh in my mind. The only thing that could possibly make it any better would be if I were still eating it right now. You're right, the double, triple, quadruple dipping is probably the best part. Thanks for being so generous with us!
