SEW cute!!

There is a lady in the subdivision right next to me that is offering summer youth classes. Emily has been to a Garden Tea Party where she painted a flower pot and made a beaded book mark. Megan went to a Nature Craft Class where she made a birdhouse, a bird feeder, a garden stone and pressed flowers! The classes have been great and worth every penny, especially yesterdays!!! Kate and Megan took the begining sewing class and they made these REALLY cute bags! (I am SO in love with Kate's fabric choice and totally wish I could have made one!) And my girls did all the work! They used the sewing machine and did the ironing... I am so glad we did this! Next up- cooking 101!

What a great idea and how fun for the girls to have something cool to do and fun to learn. I love their cute bags and fabric choices too.

How fun is that! Can the girls teach us how to make them?

Very Cool, that sound like a good summer thing to be doing. How many kids attend a class? That seems to me to be quite a lot of work for her. But she must enjoy it or she wouldn't be doing it. I wish I could find something like that I could do to make some extra money. What a great idea!

I can't believe they are old enough to sew! It reminds me of my sewing groups in 4-H. Definately fun! I, too, love Kate's choice of fabric!!

What a fun idea and a great way to teach kids and occupy them at the same time. I love the fabric choice also. It's funky Kate Spade-ish.

What great activities your girls are involved in. That would have made my summer as a kid. The bags are very cute.
