feeling better

There is no greater loan than
a sympathetic ear. ~Frank Tyger

I am feeling much better. Jill called me and asked if I wanted to get out of my house and go to a movie or something. So, we hit Target, watched Mission Impossible 3 (intensely excellent!), and she listened to my stupid venting about a whole lot of nothing! I may even have insulted her house by saying I didn't want to move into a brick rambler, but she still listened and sympathized.

As stupid as everything I said must have been, sometimes isn't that just what you need? To say all the dumb things that are eating away at you and keeping you from feeling and acting normal!? To hear out loud how silly or how justified you really are! I am so grateful for good friends, like Jill, who listen to me and the whole lot of nothing I have to say!! It can't be easy, but it makes such a huge difference in my outlook! Thanks Jill!

What? Brick rambler? Have you guys found a new house? You know you can't say stuff like that and not follow up with more details--or is there a post I missed?

Jill told me you guys were going to a late movie, I'm glad you had a good time, and the break from your craziness. I'm glad I am not the only one who dumps on Jill....

Nobody dumps on me. I'm happy to hang out and listen to friends who need to vent. Jenn, you didn't offend me. I am thankful everyday for my 70's brick rambler, and know what you mean so don't sweat it. I'm glad we could go to the movies and get out of the house a bit. Trips to Target never hurt either.

I'm glad that you are feeling better. Jill, you need to hire out as a personal friend -- just like a personal shopper. You are excellent.

Jennifer, I'm back!! I haven't quite gotten to my blog yet, but I'm getting there. I have, however, read every single post you've made in the last month. I am officially caught up. Reading about Megan's birthday, going to see Cars and playing DDR made me realize just how much I miss visiting you. Less than two weeks and we'll be able to play just like old times. I'm prepared to kick your butt in Dance-Dance and sympathize to all your woes. I still can't believe you let a dog stay in your house, but that's a conversation for another time. I love you and I hope you can survive twelve more days until I arrive. I LOVE YOU!

I'm glad you got a much-needed escape. Isn't it great to be able to say whatever you need to when talking to a friend, even if it's just a whole lot of negativity or complaining? I used to fear that Jill would get sick of it and break up with me, but now I just revel in it! Hope everything is looking up for you.

Aren't friends a God send?! They listen to us bitch and moan and love us just the same, they don't pass judgement, they don't get offended, they just listen, sympathized, bring treats and love us come what may.

Jill is good that way. Best kind of friend you could have. I'm glad she got you out of the house and you were able to take a break.
