personal DDR

Have you played this game before? I have seen people play but never played myself until yesterday. We bought it for Megan's birthday and I must say- it is ADDICTING!! I am sweaty and out of breath as I type from trying to keep up to Shiny Disco Ball. And I was only on the light setting!! I like to think of myself as a relatively coordinated person, but this thing is killing me! Each step earns a score and I average 40 greats on the song we've been practicing but only 8-11 perfects. My girls get 22-25 perfects!! Apparently I have no groove because my timing is just not funky enough to get those perfect scores! Still, I LOVE playing! I'm sure I look like a complete fool, but it is a whole lot of fun (and good exercise, pant-pant). So, come on over friends and "show me your moves"!!

{Seriously- I just wasted Ethan's precious nap time because I was determined to... I don't know what I was determined to do but I just couldn't stop- until my legs became jello and I had to!!}

I haven't played it yet, but I'm dying to! It looks like so much fun and I can really get behind a video game that gets you up and moving.

I think it's hilarious that you used Ethan's naptime to dance (I'd love to have seen it), but hear that it's addictive. Jessie's friends Hannah and Robin both do it for their workouts sometimes. Too funny.

I have this picture in my mind of you jumping up and down! I think we should plan a DDR party. No husbands just the girls. Maybe the next blog party????

I really enjoy playing, but we always play with people who own them and who have the dance routine memorized. So...I would love to play with you. I really want to get one -- if only for the fun exercise factor.

I have heard this is a lot of fun from girls at camp. At least you are getting some exercise while playing with your kids and having a good time. Can't beat that.

I love DDR! WE bought it to help me in my pursuit of exercise, and I am completely uncoordinated and suck at it, but it's still a lot of fun :)

So fun! I love it and have been trying to play it more. My husband is almost done building a hard pad- I will post about it when he is done- and it is so fun to play on a 'real' pad. If someone wants to offer their TV room, I bet I could convince Linc to let me bring it along. And I agree that it is addictive!

Can I try it when I come to visit? Hopefully with a VERY small audience as I, a former BYU Ballroom Dance Team member who hasn't danced in years, have lost all my groove. "Use it or lose it" is so very true.
