possibility...

It came! Today, in the mail! My passport!! I don't know what it is about this little paper booklet, but all of a sudden the possibilities seem endless! Paris seems a step closer! Opportunities are now available that weren't before... I have five young kids, a busy schedule, and no money (or at least what little I have is being saved for a bigger house) but, still. I COULD go anywhere in the world with this little piece of paper and THAT is exciting. My short list:
  • Greece
  • Paris
  • London
  • Italy
  • Holland
Do you have a passport? Where has it taken you?

Congratulations! That's exciting. I haven't done anything other than print my paperwork so far.

I've never had a passport, and never gone anywhere that needed one.

I have never had a passport- when we went to Mexico on our honeymoon I guess they just did a guest thing. Linc really wants to go to Japan in February and I am scared at the thought- luckily I wouldn't be going. But your list sure sounds great.

There is something special about a passport, insn't there. I do have one, but it doesn't have much stamped in it, just Mexico and Australia. I think you're right though, it is just the possibilities of having one.

That's how I felt when I got mine! It opens up such possibilities. I'm glad we're using ours for the first time together. Can't wait!

You sound like Sandra Bullock in "While You Were Sleeping" with the whole passport thing. So cute! It's always nice to have something to dream about and to look forward to.

If I did have a passport, it would take me to:

Scotland
New Zealand
Canada
Ireland
Fiji
Africa

Those are my dream vacation spots to travel with Aaron when all the chillens are raised!

My passport got me into China and Japan. I didn't get to see anything in Japan outside of the airport, but I STILL HAVE A STAMP!

I had a passport once... it took me to Finland and Sweden to play volleyball in high school.

Did you get the passport for Paris or did I miss something coming sooner?

jenn this is great news. I am so happy for you that you are taking the steps and making paris and other foreign destinations a reality.

I do have a passport or did. I need to check and see if it's still active. not that i'll be using it anytime soon.

I love my passport also. It is worn and well used. It has backpacked through most of western and eastern Europe with me and to Indonesia on my honeymoon and to Korea for my husbands internship. My five year old daughter has one with a picture of her as a 1 month old baby. That's one I won't want to send in for a new one. Paris will be amazing!

I just discovered that my passport expired, so I have to get a new one, as well as one for all of my kids! I've only been to Mexico, France, and Belgium. My list would look very much like yours...
