My Baby is Three!

It is so hard to believe that my baby is three today! There are no babies after him, he is the last. And he refuses to stay small for me! Luckily, he still loves to be held, hugged, kissed, snuggled, chased and "babied" by his mother.
{Ethan. proud and happy in his "birf-day hack"}

For a birthday treat, we picked up Krispie Kreme donuts for breakfast. We ate them on our way to Price for a family reunion. We met Grandma and Grandpa Hot Tub at the park and in solid grandma tradition, she gave Ethan a very LOUD birthday present. (A screaming and flying monkey!)

After spending a couple of hours at the park, we went to the Price Wave Pool to swim (you'll remember from my Vegas post how much Ethan loves to swim!) It was a heart attack waiting to happen for me- watching Emily flip her tube in really big waves while Ethan was five feet away from me and Kelly was in the deep end with Kate and Megan and Soren was drowning himself in the colliding waves along the side of the pool... I digress.

Really, we had a good time. Ethan got really cold so I wrapped him up in a towel and he fell right to sleep. We tried to take a self-portrait:

Not our best attempt. But still fun to have and we learned some things for next time. Ethan, of course, woke up two minutes
after we took the picture. He was hungry and picked Wendy's drive-thru for his birthday dinner. (Not a lot to choose from in Price but he was fine with it, especially when he got ice cream with his meal!)

We're home now- it is after nine. We are all tired, except Ethan who had a nap! He is playing with his monkey and the hot chocolate mug grandma won at the reunion raffle and thought Ethan would like! (glass?!!#@ really?!) It was a nice day and we look forward to tomorrow when we have my family over for cupcakes and presents.

I can't believe he's 3 either! It doesn't seem that long ago that you were sitting in my front yard pregnant during Landon's birthday party, that's just crazy to think about.

I love all self-portraits even the ones that cut off part of someone's head, good times.

Love the family self-portrait -- good thing you have those long arms! The swimming sounds like a heart attack waiting to happen for sure.

With that many little heads I can see why some would get cut off. We had Krispy Kremes for dinner on Mya's birthday...must be a 3 year old thing ;)
