Shoot Me Now.

We have officially been out of school for three hours as of the time I'm typing this, and-
I'm done.

I do not know how I will survive this summer. In the three hours since we got home, we have had-

  • multiple black marks given (which lose allowance for bad behavior like slamming the door on your little brother or telling mom "no" to doing your job)
  • a time out that lasted twice as long as it should have
  • a fit worthy of the most obnoxious two year old
  • two children complaining every few minutes that they are bored
  • tears over having to do jobs before playing
  • more tears over not getting to play with one friend because you are going to another friend's birthday party
  • some hard shoving
  • lots of name calling
  • one grounding from the x-box for throwing the controller
  • and a couple "I hate you's" directed at me
I am hoping in the next two hours, while four of my kids are off with friends, I will be able to restore my sanity and find some solutions. Otherwise, please. someone. shoot me now!

I think you need to call in the Super Nanny or something, someone has got to lay down the smack. I can't believe anyone is saying "I hate you" ever!

Also, I'd give jobs to anyone who claims to be bored and would add another and another for each time they complained about it.

Whiny kids take naps!

Name calling/fighting kids have to sit on the couch facing each other, holding hands and saying nice things about each other until they can be happy again.

Good luck Jenn!

Oh, dear. This is kind of how I felt yesterday. Today I'm sick and have been in bed much of the day so my kids are taking care of each other!

My aunt used to make her arguing kids take a walk around the block holding hands with each other...

I hope you find serenity now. Or at least soon.

Oh NO! Not a good way to start things off, isn't there a friendly neighborhood boot camp you can send them off to?

No?

Well then, good luck to you.

I. am. sorry...why is it, that we long for and count down to summer and then its like that?

I'm sure the behaviour today isn't an indication of what the summer holds. Hang in there, make sure you go out this weekend without them and give yourself a break.

I guess I'm glad we still have 3 weeks of school left.

That's not a sign of things to come... just one of over-excited kids ready for a break. Send them over anytime - I have 2 little ones to keep them ALL busy!! Hope tomorrow's better.

Oh, if your kids continue to act this way, tell that I'm going to come beat them up for not listening to you.

Oh Jen, I am sooo with you. I think I had only had my kids for 45minutes before I was ready to drop them back at school. :) I came to the realization that I rarely have them all in the car together. (Apparently they don't get along)

So please just run away to my house soon. But, bring the rugrats with you. We could take them swimming. Maybe we could sit on the side and squirt the naughty ones with water guns :)

I can shoot you now with my fancy iPhone shotgun app. It gives the shooting sensation without the unfortunate side effects of a real shotgun.

Give me a call and I'll be over in 12 minutes or less.

Try strawberries, raspberries, blackberries, etc. Not for the kids; for you! They always make you feel better....And they make you smile.
