February Birthdays

We celebrated our family's February birthdays on Sunday evening. That included Ben (February 20th), Kate (February 23rd) and Kelly (February 26th). It is always fun for me to get together with my family so, it was great to have Ben and Melissa, Angela and Micah, and Nate all join us! For dinner we had burritos with Cafe Rio Pork (thanks for sharing the recipe Amy!), fruit salad (thanks Angela!) and spinach salad (thanks Melissa!) followed by strawberry shortcake for dessert! We exchanged presents, played a couple games and caught up on all that's happening. It was a really nice night and it made me think how happy I am that I live near family! I hope that never changes!

Very cute photo. It's so great that your house is the hub for your siblings. It's a talent to be the hostess and to do everything it takes to have everyone over. It's important and valuable, and admirable that you do it.

Thanks for the picture and the post. I'm glad to have that little part in it. And thanks for all you do to keep our family connected. Another immeasureable gift.

I love having my family close by. I don't know what I'd do without my sister, and I love to play Mom to my little brother at BYU. It's great that you are so close (emotionally and georaphically) to them that you enjoy spending time with them. I find that I enjoy my adult relationships with my siblings much more than I did when I was little.

Thank you for the left-overs! I don't know if Kelly told you, but I called Wednesday night while you were out. Micah and I wanted to say special a thank you for all the dinners you provide us, and especially for the pork. It made a great 2nd meal. You are wonderful... as always.

I am so jealous. I already feel disconnected from the family. I so wish I could be there for these kinds of events. I'm glad it was such a great day. As always, you're amazing.
