dare to dream?

We have an architect coming over today!! He will look at our space and tell us how feasible our idea is- we are talking about raising the roof and adding structural support! If Extreme Makeover: Home Edition was here, I know they COULD do it. The question is, how HARD is it to do really? I am SO excited at the possibility, especially because I LOVE my house! And I can't help but get my hopes up- so, wish us luck!
{So, we met with Rod Mortensen this afternoon. He was SO nice and very helpful! He complimented my house (which of course I love!) and said what we want to do is great and totally feasible. Of course, it costs money and will take from start to finish approximately 9 months! But, I am trying to resolve myself to that because it would be SO great when it was finished! We aren't sure yet if we are going to do this, but feel really good about the option and the information Rod gave us. If you are looking for an architect, definately give Rod a call!}

That would be incredible if it worked! I, too, love your house and I would love for you to be able to stay in it. Definitely keep us posted on that!
I'm shocked by this possibility, but excited for you if you're excited about this. I hope it's feasible and wouldn't be too troublesome to do (you'd have to move out for a bit wouldn't you?). Good luck.
That sounds SO exciting! Your house is SO cute, although I've never seen it in person. This is Timm and my dream, so rehaba house about a year from now. SO cute- hope it works.
How exciting. To get to stay in the house you love and just improve it. I hope it works, did you know there are home improvment grants/loans you can get? Look into it. Good Luck!
Now this is really exciting! Will it be terribly disrupting? Can you stay in the house while the work is done? I hope it turns out to be feasible for you, then your kids can stay in their school and you can keep the cute house you love!
I hope, I hope, I hope, I HOPE this works out for you. I love that house, and I love the memories I have there. Micah and I are more than happy to use our skills developed over these summer months to help you complete this project. Keep us informed.
