there are three R's we're gonna talk about today...

You've got to REDUCE-REUSE-RECYCLE! REDUCE-REUSE-RECYCLE!

My kids love this song from Curious George and I could not get it out of my head when I was cleaning out my file drawers and the boxes of papers in my closet. I took FOUR paper grocery bags FULL of papers to the school recycle bin today! I threw out all my BYU class notes (that I don't even understand what I wrote down anymore)! I threw out all the cards from Kate's baby shower (she's NINE and I don't even know who half of the people are)!...
It was wonderful! I made some room in my closet for all the school supplies we have started to collect and emptied an entire drawer from my file cabinet! I LOVE organizing, especially THROWING OUT!! Despite all the junk we have falling out of our closets and drawers, I don't think any one could call me a pack rat!!

I love taking things to be recycled. I regularly take cans to MCR in Lindon, my plastic bags to WalMart, and all our paper stuff to the school. I dumped everything but cans yesterday and felt giddy about it.

I haven't braved my BYU stuff yet, but would really like to get that big box of stuff out of my garage. I don't think I'm ever going to actually read through all those notes again, but somehow it's a bit upsetting (or perhaps just overwhelming) to think of throwing them all away.

What a great feeling! I just love getting rid of stuff. I, however, am a bit of a pack rat and so I have a hard time making myself do it. But when I finally do, I feel so light and liberated. When will I learn? Glad you were able to free up some more space.

It's such a great feeling to de-junk, de-clutter and reorgainize. I love it, I love dropping all my stuff at goodwill or just the dumpster. Such a satisfying feeling. Good job. My husband is the pack rat in our house.

I need to do this, it was my plan for the summer but summer is slipping away!

So cool! I love getting rid of things, but like Pam, have a husband that is a bit of a pack rat, so it can prove to be difficult. I need to get motivated though and just do it. I love to recycle though. Glad you freed up some much needed space!

I'm something of a pack rat, but I still very much enjoy the feeling of getting rid of a bunch of unneeded stuff. It's just so satisfying. But I can just dump it all into my own personal recycling dumpster (which is bigger than my garbage can) for the nice sanitation department man to come pick up every other week. :)

Yes, so could I. But then I don't help earn money for my kids' school! You must be one of those new school moms! :)

Yeah for you! My favorite thing to do is to throw things away. Unfortunately, that still does not mean that I am completely organized, but it is a great feeling to have a full garbage can on garbage day.

I love these things too- Unfortunately I haven't gotten on the recycling bandwagon since living in Utah. In Pa, it was just mandatory. They made it SO easy, and it's one think that irks me about Utah. In Pa, they just give you an additional recycling bin with your trash can, and you dont' really have to sort anything. You just lob it all in there, and you've done your recycling.
I love to throw things away, but maybe a little too much. In my constant pursuit of de-cluttering my life, I usually end up throwing things away that I regret later.

You sure didn't learn your organizational skills from me. I keep way too much stuff. It takes too much energy to decide what to get rid of and when and how to organize the rest. I need a mother standing over me with a big stick!

I love throwing things out too or giving them away. My life seems less cluttered and I dig that.

I hate to move, but moving is one of the best motivations for getting rid of stuff, second only to lack of space.
