land sick

I am SO happy to be home. I miss having my food prepared and served three meals a day! But, I'd had enough of everything else! The biggest adjustment is getting into the Christmas swing- how can it be Christmas when it was just 85 degrees and palm trees were swaying? But, in addition to unpacking, laundry, messages/mail... we are trying to find our Holiday spirit. The dark clouds and falling snow are definately helping!
I don't really have much to say about our cruise. I guess that's sad, but it's true. I am glad I went. It was wonderful to have ALL my siblings and their spouses together. But, I'm glad to be home and holding my kids and sleeping in my own bed. I'll just ignore the fact there is no food in my house and five kids are expecting ME to be the one to make dinner tonight!

sounds like a great time away although i can understand being glad you're back. how fun to have a time away from the everyday responsibilities of life. good luck with getting back into the swing of things.
I'm so surprised you don't have much to say about your cruise. You seem underwhelmed. At least you're happy to be back at home. Are you tan at least?
I know exactly what you mean about not missing someone else making your food. When I was out of town I didn't think I would be able to make another meal. I felt so spoiled. Can you imagine what it would be like to have a personal chef?
I'm glad your excited to be back this time. I hope you're able to get back into life easily and start to enjoy the holiday season.
Welcome back to real life. I agree; it is nice to be back in a familiar bed, and I also miss three prepared meals a day. I do not, however, miss the sea-sickness, the salt water, or being photographed repeatedly in a swimsuit. I love you!
Not making the meals has to be one of my favorite parts of a real vacation- the only time I get a good long break from it. Glad you are happy to be home and that picture of you two is really cool.
When you do get your bearings I would like to hear more of your thoughts of kids on a cruise. The pitures is fun, it looks hard on swimsuit bottoms though. I have been home for two weeks and still don't think I should be the one to have to make dinner.
I'm landsick too! I seem to totally sway at completely random moments. It's a bizarre sensation to be swaying on solid land. I'm glad to have my kids and be in my house, but not in my own bed. I slept better on that ship than I have at home in the last year! And I really miss the well prepared food served with dessert at every meal and Paula to bring it to me. I need someone to come make me some strawberry peach soup!
That was very frigid water, wasn't it?
oh the wonderful pampering they do on cruises *dinning experience* giving you every whim you wish...the reality of hungry kids and all looking up to you! well....that is reality. Cool picture!
Merry Pink Christmas!
