SPT- Friends, Old and New

Technically, I am not in this photo. But as I thought about the friends I have had for many years and the friends I have had for just a few months, this basket of love and happiness came immediately to my mind.

It is full of cards from ALL my friends, old and new- birthday wishes, thank yous, thinking of yous, just because... And it is where I turn when I need to be reminded of good things, including the good in me. Each card has words of kindness, love and appreciation. Many of them are handmade which is a generous gift in itself. Every card is a blessing and comes from someone who is dear to me.

When it isn't possible to call a friend, see a friend, have lunch with a friend- my friends are still there for me! Tucked into this little basket that sits by my computer. It reminds me every day that I am blessed to have such wonderful friends!

{Do NOT miss Jill's post. The quotes alone make it worth checking out!
Add her sentiments and it makes a fabulous post about friendship!}

I'm so happy you're posting again, and this isn't even a catch-up post.

I save all the cards I receive too, and sometimes when they're piling up I wonder if I'm silly to keep them but you articulated it beautifully. I save them to be reminded, especially on the days when the real thing is not available.

I too like to look back over my Good Mail, esp after a bad day or when I am needing a lift. Actually, I got Good Mail from you today - thanks. I'm envious of your super neat handwriting!

I finally found some time to catch up on all your posts. What a treasure! Every one is so interesting. And I loved your Paris pictures (and Jill's and Michelle's). I miss talking to you so much. How sad that we're both too busy for that. That's too busy! Love you!

I love it. I save cards, too, but not in any especially pleasing or accessible way, I'll have to remedy that. I love your handwriting too!!

The basket is a good idea. I save a lot but not everything (anymore). My basement is overwhelming because I save way too much.

What a fabulous idea! I've often wondered where to put all of my cute cards. I file them away in a filing cabinet, but I should have them out like you.
