SPT- Earth Day

I am busy cleaning, packing and making sure things are ready before I leave in TWO days! Can you believe it's here?!! Paris! That's in France! Which is in Europe! Across a whole huge ocean!! But, I digress. Last year, on earth day, my kids and I decided we could do something to help take better care of the earth. This is what we came up with:
I am putting school papers in a box. A perfect box because it fits papers and magazines almost exactly. Instead of throwing away all the school papers that come home (trees and trees worth!), we put them in this box. It sits in the garage, just outside the door. And when it is full, we take it to the school and throw the paper in the recycle bin. We actually have a recycle can from the city which we use for cardboard, milk jugs, cans and what not. But our school gets money for the paper we take to their bins. Definitely a win-win. It was really quite easy to start. Maybe we'll have to add another earth friendly habit for this year. Any ideas?

I really want a recycle can at our house, I'm tired of running my recycling all over the place.
