SPT- stolen moments
Like an infant, I still love the motion of moving slowly back and forth. What I love about my porch changes with the seasons- right now I love the warm sun in the morning and the cool breeze in the evening. I love the view of the mountain and the quiet that does not exist inside my house. There are no kids fighting, no televisions blaring, no computers humming, no radios singing...
If you look close, you'll see there is a second rocking chair. If you need to steal away for a little while, you are welcome to join me on my front porch!

i would love to join you on your porch. right now, my view consists of TWO new houses going up across the road. (there goes my peek of the lake.)
here in the south, front porch rocking chairs are taken for granted!! to many of them are strictly "porch candy" with no one even sitting in them!
I want to come and rock with you!
I have my eye on a few chairs that I hope go on sale at the end of the season so I can more fully enjoy the nights on my porch this fall.
Jenn you are a lot like me and if I had participated today it would have been a lot like this. A stolen moment for me is outside alone in my thoughts. Sometimes accompanied by a notebook. I wish I had a rocking chair, perhaps one day that will be a part of my reality, but for now I'll just keep taking whatever i can as long as i can continue to steal away.
I want to come rock with you!! Oh, how I want to come rock with you. Save me a seat. Someday I'll be there.
I would love to come and join you. I do love the thought of a porch swing and my perfect house will have a porch all the way around. Rocking is such a soothing motion for me also. I still will climb up on my mom's lap and ask her to "rocky me". Oh the comfort of something so simple.
Another post....what a treat. Perfect stolen moment. I love that you have two chairs. One person is perfect for me to share some quiet time with. I agree totally with getting away from the house noises.... nothing can replace peace. I hope you are getting to steal a few moments on your cute porch during the moving craziness.
I've always wanted a front porch to be able to have a rocker on it. I would come rock with you any and every day if I could! What a wonderful place to have.
I'm glad you have a place to steal away to now that your craft room is all packed up (that's just so sad).
