Lucky 13
It is Kelly and my anniversary today. I waited to post about it so I would have a self-portrait from our date tonight. I remembered the camera, but we were late leaving and had to switch theaters. In trying to figure out where to go and if we had time... I forgot to bring it in.
Then, The Melting Pot, where we were going for dinner, ended up being closed... we regrouped and ended up at The Olive Garden. I had my camera, but dinner was "interrupted" by the agent who had brought someone to look at our house this afternoon- they wanted to bring family back to see it right then! Excitement and phone calls to warn David, who had my kids, made me totally forget to pull out the camera.
So, I was just going to take the picture when we got home... but the kids were at the park by my house and I jumped out of the car to say we were home and kids came up to give us hugs... Kelly and I ended up home at different times...
Picture or not, I had a great night out with Kelly. And it is amazing to think that we have been married for thirteen years- we have moved 3 times; bought 4 cars; traveled together to 11 states (including Hawaii), Canada and Mexico; had 5 children; survived 1 year of unemployment; ridden in a hot air balloon; and danced in the rain many times.
We are still learning how to communicate and how to show each other that we care, but we have come a long way! And I plan to have lots more time together to figure it all out!
Happy Anniversary Kelly!
