shoes, shots and signatures

This week's SPT is "your feet will bring you to where you heart is." I had several ideas that never really worked out. I thought about:

my feet on the mat at my front door because I love being at home, especially when my kids are in a good mood;

my feet on the elliptical at Angela's this morning because I love visiting with her and my heart feels strong when I exercise;

my feet on the scale at the doctor's office because I am so grateful when I am healthy, although today, I am not.

Instead, I ended up with a picture of someone else's feet, and these feet definitely warm my heart!They are Ethan's feet. It cracks me up how proud he is to be sporting his new "shoe clippers." Kelly does not find it even a little funny that I let Ethan choose the girl toy when we go to McDonald's but I do it anyway because Ethan smiles from ear to ear and that makes my heart very happy. Last week he got an Ariel wand that lights up. He was carrying it when we went back today; when he got his new footwear- perfect for SPT (even if I'm not in the photo).

I mentioned that I was not healthy- I went to the doctor this morning and found out I have strep. Instead of taking antibiotics for 10 days, I chose the one time shot in the side. They forgot to mention how sore I would be after! I came home and took this picture, then laid down for a nap! Hopefully my sore throat (and sore side) will feel better soon.

Some exciting news- Kelly and I signed the contract tonight for the sale of our house! It is a controlled excitement, we have been here before and things didn't work out. But this feels different. The woman who is buying our house feels like this is where she is supposed to be and handed us a check for $121,000 in earnest money. We had to ask her to rewrite it for $1500 but it was reassuring to know she was committed! We close in May but won't move out until the first week of June. That way, her son and our kids can finish their school year at their current schools. I guess we need to find a house now! Hooray for us!

Sorry, I deleted my first comment because well.. I didn't make any sense.

Love the picture of Ethan with his princess clips on his shoes. You will have to take those pictures out when he's about 16 and his girl friends come over. He will love that!

I'm sorry that you are not feeling well. Do you need me to bring over some Vitamin C?

OOH! I was wondering how you were running on Wednesday. I was thinking you must have had a mild case. :)

Let's get together next week. I will call you and we can pick a day!

I hope you're feeling better by now. Ugh. I love the fact that you get Ethan the girl Happy Meal toys. Those shoe clips are hilarious!
