Jennifer loves her friends.
Jennifer was so happy to visit with them.
Jennifer was VERY happy not to put kids to bed.
Jennifer hopes she can do this again soon.
Hey Steff(ph)- is that the gist?!!
Last night I went to a "purse party" at my friend, Steffanie's, house. This was the first time I have been in her house (unless you count when there were previous owners) and I used and abused the chance to come see inside her house and to talk and laugh with friends in my neighborhood.
This is the funny thing- I have known these women for a long time but I have thought of them as just casual friends. I mean- I pass them as we drive our kids to and from school but I take up every seat in my own car so I don't car pool with them. I see them as they run past my window, often pushing joggers but I don't jog. I see them at church every Sunday and have served with many of them but I don't meet them for lunch or to go see a movie during the week...
And yet, the last few weeks have found me craving their company! I even feel a sense of panic at the thought of leaving them to move to a new neighborhood. After 8 years of visiting in the park, struggling to raise kids and sharing our testimonies, it can't be helped- we ARE friends and I LOVE these women! When I see them anywhere, my heart smiles and I feel so grateful that I lived in this place, at this time, with THESE neighbors! These sweet, spunky, wonderful women who I want to be around because they make me laugh, cry and try a little harder.
So, Steff and Steph- thank you for the invitation!
Thank you for letting me sit on your couch all night!
Spending the evening with my friends was just delightful!

And guess what? We love you too. :)
Wasn't it so nice to just sit and chat? It didn't seem like anyone was in a hurry to get home. Just enjoying the moment with friends.

Steff was glad you came to her party. Steff loves shoes and purses and jewlery. Now we need to go show them all off. Dont you just love third person?? It just so fun.

It was a great night, It was nice to see all of you and talk for a little bit, and try on shoes, and purses, I love the color of yours! it's true what Sheryl said, is very you.
And also my life has been SO BLESSED to have you on it, from trading babysitting for ward Temple nights, to learning from you on Primary... Thank you Jennifer, YOU ROCK!
