I get by with a little help from my friends.
My sweet friend, Maria, called me tonight to see if I was home because she wanted to drop something off at my house. Now, keep in mind, Maria is treading her own choppy waters of being in school while trying to be a wife and mother at the same time her husband is going to school and working graveyard! Imagine my surprise when she showed up with this in her hand:
She said she had read my post yesterday and just wanted to do something. I guess it was pretty obvious that I was tired of cleaning and she knows me well enough to know that especially means bathrooms! So, she brought me this bucket full of all her favorite things to make cleaning the bathroom easy- a disposable toilet bowl brush, paper towels that tear off in small pieces, disposable gloves, disinfecting wipes, and automatic toilet bowl cleaner!!
I was blown away. I dared to think she might have a candy bar or plate of cookies but this- it was so thoughtful and generous and perfect! THANK YOU Maria!! Who knew I could actually smile at the thought of cleaning my bathroom!!

How nice! What a thoughtful gift. Oh, and I love those toilet wand things. I always feel a little bad that I'm spending money every time I clean my toilets, but in the end, I just think they're really nice. No dirty toilet brush hanging around.
Can you tell Maria I really don't like cleaning my bathrooms either? :) She is always so thoughtful. You are lucky to have such good friends and neighbors.
Bathrooms... yep I'm with ya! I will clean, scrub, mop, do laundry, cook, do dishes, bathe my children, wash the dog...and do it happily!
Bathrooms... yeah not so much!
Cute Blog - thanks for letting me snoop!! Steph ;o)
Anything that makes cleaning easier is good in my book! What a thoughtful friend.
hope that cleaning your bathroom was much more fun this time!!!! you are so awesome!!!!!-Maria
So lucky to have a friend like Maria! (I should take more notes from her). I don't really enjoy cleaning the bathrooms either, and the funny thing is that Maria and I cleaned the ones at the church on Saturday. She is such a good sport! and so are you!
love ya!
You're awesome Maria! Way to actually do something instead of just write something nice back to Jennifer.
I guilted Erik into cleaning our bathrooms about 2 years ago. That is now his job, so I (theoretically) don't worry about it anymore.
WAHOO!!!!!! 3 posts in a such a short time. loving that.
and to find out the post is due to thoughtful friends? even better.
That's so thoughtful! New cleaning products are so fabulous, even for jobs you hate.
Whoa! That last sentence blew me away! So nice of your friend.
