Happy Pioneer Day
Today in Utah there are parades and fireworks celebrating the arrival of the Saints in the Salt Lake Valley. I feel blessed to be related to many of those who traveled West in hopes of establishing a place of peace and living a life of devotion to their Heavenly Father.
My mom posted a story I know well about my relative, Fannie Smith Spilsbury. I love to read it because I draw great strength from her decisions and, like her, I have never been sorry to be a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.
You may not be related to a pioneer, but you too have a heritage of faith, courage, and love that I hope you will celebrate today!

I just wish I wasn't at work so I could enjoy some of the festivities. Celebrate long and hard without me.
Are you going to the movie night tomorrow night?
