12 around the 12th | June

I never did get 12 photos for the 12th because of all the things we had going on, so this is 12 photos from around the 12th of June which is always a crazy month for us!

1. Friday, June 11th was Megan's birthday. We tried the cupcakes from Cold Stone and they were delicious. It was a short celebration because Kelly and I ran our marathon on the 12th.

2. Saturday, June 12th was the Utah Valley Marathon. We laid out our clothes the night before, since we had to be up at...

3. 2:45am to make it to Provo and catch a shuttle to the start line.

4. We finished the race with our best time and came home to recover, which meant no more photos on the 12th.

5. I thought about taking photos on Sunday, June 13th instead, but it didn't happen (except for a few of Megan opening presents). So I resolved that I would take 12 photos on Monday, June 14th. I started out first thing with my breakfast and then...

6. I only took 6 more photos. This was the project I started before the kids got up- the coat closet. I never finished the project so I didn't take another photo of it.

7. I did manage to bring my camera when I took Kate to band camp, so I got another photo of me driving (seriously- I need to remember a blanket and install a mini fridge for all the time I spend here!)

8. I also got to document the fabulous hour I have had every day for three weeks to read and nap while Kate is at camp.

9. After camp, Kate and I grabbed milk so the kids could make pasta for lunch and have cereal the next day. We didn't get to a grocery on Saturday because of our race so we were low on a lot of things but milk could not wait another minute.

10. Spring finally seemed to arrive- these gorgeous low clouds sat on the mountain and a cool breeze blew through my car while I read. This is the weather I've been waiting for!

11. Then I went to get my hair done. I was desperate and Melissa, as always, did a great job! The sad news is that she is quitting. I hope Sharalyn will take me back!

12. And that leaves me one photo short- so I am putting this photo from Friday of Kelly and Megan because I love it.
