Happy Birthday Jill!

Today my good friend, Jill, will celebrate her 39th birthday!
I stole this self-portrait from her blog because I love it! It says so much about who she is-

The fall background is indicative of her favorite season, but the warmth of the colors remind me of her warm, generous and giving personality. I always leave Jill feeling like she has wrapped me in a big blanket- she listens, sympathizes, helps me find a way to laugh and then with love and compassion she pushes me forward.

She always has sunglasses to block out the bright sun, but I have been the recipient of her gift to block out people's faults and see only the good things.

You will only ever see her face in a self-portrait but that is so typical of how she views people- what does their face say about how they are feeling and how can she connect with them. She has an amazing gift for relating to people and helping people.

Her photos are beautiful and interesting and genuine. They are authentic and so is Jill.

This is the first group photo I can find of our book club. (Sorry Michelle- I know this is not one of your favorites since you are nine months pregnant.)

Book club is how Jill came into my life and it continues to be one of my favorite nights each month, but it is just a small part of how Jill has impacted my life. She is an amazing person and I am blessed to call her my friend!
