Look what I did!

We are all aware by now that I have no computer skills, so when I saw Amy's 12 on the 12th idea, I was sure I could never do it. I took the photos anyway because I loved the idea of capturing a day each month in our busy life. Then I asked Jill if she could give me a tutorial. She e-mailed me the directions right away (yes- that means back in March), but I still felt so intimidated and unskilled that I haven't tried it- until today! And guess what. It's not so hard!
I did have to reread certain directions more than once and hit "undo" several times until I got it right, but I did it! And I LOVE the results. Amy has such a clean and simple style that I envy, so I am thrilled she was willing to share her template! And Jill's tips simplified my efforts even more.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
I can't wait to finish the others!
March 12th
1. Kate and I quickly assembled her science project- she had to classify ribbon. That is my kind of project!
2. I read my scriptures today.
3. Checking blogs...
4. On Fridays I get to help at the school. I love being able to see my kids interact with classmates and teachers, as well as having tabs on their behavior!
5. I love the smile on Ethan's face when I pick him up from Kindergarten each day!
6. Trash Day
7. There is always laundry to do at our house.
8. Samoas are my favorite and I'm trying to ration my 10 boxes!
9. My bookshelves needed a little attention today which is always a happy job!
10. I set the camera timer to take this photo. I've been following Jill's example and spending some time in "the cozy" each day. She gets so much reading done- I just fall asleep!
11. The Not-So-Newlywed game was our ward activity for the adults. It was supposed to be in February but was postponed because of a funeral and I think my friend, Courtney, did a great job shifting the theme and decorations to match our new March date! Who knew butcher paper could be so cute!
12. We had a long run the next morning, so we ended our day by parking Kelly's car at the end of our route and headed home to get some sleep.

"life as usual." I think that's what I'll call my next pose and steal your random shots idea!
Congratulations on your template success! It gets easier every time you do it, so woohoo for that.
That picture of Ethan coming out of school is so darling!
I'm delighted to see you're spending time in the cozy!
I love this idea and seeing what you've been up to! May have to steal it :)
What a great idea...I love the ordinary; it seems on my blog I focus on the extraordinary, so miss 95% of my life. Thanks for sharing the last several months. Could you forward me the tutorial?
I love this! You'll have to teach me how to do these pics this way. LOVE IT!
Way to go. I think keeping a blog is such a fun way to remind ourselves we do something SUPER each day...its the little things like laundry, scripture reading or feeding the cat (lol) that make us truly super...
Luv ya!
Cruise! Where are you going??
You mean life doesn't occur in major events only?! This is the part of the diaries of my ancestors that I love the most because it tells of their life as it was happening. What they probably, as we do, consider uninteresting - and yet it connects us as people who are all trying to just live.
PS - You're going to the shows on the 12th right? I didn't hear back from you and got worried, but the tickets are ordered and 4 of us will have a blast!
Good times!! We definitely need to have a little lunch. Before school starts...would your girls want to babysit while we have a moms-only lunch? I'll be back in town Sunday...see you soon?!
Hey just noticed your cruise countdown...funny thing its the same as mine!!! Where are you headed? We're going to the Mexican Riviera on Royal Carribean...crazy if we get to see you!
I'm patiently waiting to see pictures of your trip.
