do something creative every day

I hung on to my box from Paper Source for a long time because I loved reading this sentiment! I think it is a wonderful and brilliant idea! Unfortunately, I don't seem to find time every day for being creative. I guess that is why I love deadlines, even with the stress and craziness the deadline adds to my already crazy life! When I have a deadline, it forces me to get things done and how wonderful it is when I am forced to do something creative!!

When I was a kid, I did NOT think of myself as creative. In fact, I thought I was uncreative because I had brothers that were such wonderful artists. While at BYU, I took a floral design class, which led to a job at Campus Craft and Floral and that escalated into all sorts of creative endevors! I feel that my life has been greatly expanded and enriched by developing my creativity. Having found my creative talents "later" in life, I also think
everyone is creative- maybe not with paper and glue (my current favorite) but still creative. If you are not finding ways to develop your creativity, you are missing out!

These are my latest "forced" creative projects. I made the guest books for two of my friends' weddings. I hope they are so much more than just a guest book and that my friends enjoy them as much as I enjoyed making them! The finished product is such a source of happiness and accomplishment for me (unlike mopping the floor which gets sticky within minutes of putting the mop away!)
{Just Kidding! Blogger won't upload my pictures right now. I'll try again later.}

I'm going to disagree that everyone is creative. It was in you all along, you just didn't discover it until you were given an outlet. I've tried. It's just not in me. So I'll just have to benefit from all your wonderful ideas! You really are more than creative, you have a talent, a gift.

I too love Paper Source's motto. I wish I could find the time to really do something every day!

I'm not sure where I stand on the everyone is creative thing. Maybe we're all creative to varying degrees -- I myself am really good at copying other people's good ideas, not so good at coming up with my own.

Having been lucky enough to see these wedding albums in person, I can say that they are truly amazing! You just keep on coming up with new ideas, and your books inspire me. I hope you took lots of photos!

I've been hanging on to a Paper Source box for the same reason. I love them and the sentiment! I can't wait to see your projects. I just know they're going to be painfully cute. I think that you're incapable of creating anything that isn't painfully cute--I'm truly jealous (in the most "happy for you" way that I can be!). It's funny to me that you ever had a time that you didn't think you were creative.

I hate it when blogger won't let you post pictures. This happens more often than not. Drives me crazy. I will check back. Can't wait to see what you've done. It's always amazing.

I love that motto too. I wish I could be better at living by it. I suppose I do take pictures almost everyday and that should count, right? Of course i want to be more creative with paper and adhesives. i wish I could scrapbook more. Aargh.

I had never heard that motto but I like it.

I never think of myself as creative. Maybe because I have NO imagination. But I love pictures - which lead to photo albums, and I like assembling cute things. I think maybe everyone has an area they are creative in - sometimes you just don't think of it that way.

It's amazing that you never thought you were creative, because now you are sooooooo creative it's sickening. You come up with great ideas all the time and actually follow through on them which is such a great quality. I love being a recipient of some of your creative ideas, and love to admire all the other projects you do.

I can't wait to see the pictures as well! I have loved everything I have seen from you. The gifts that you come up with are so awesome. I am trying to do something creative everyday and so far it is a very empowering feeling.

As your mother I will second your motion that none of us saw your creative potential when you were growing up. It's all the more amazing to see it blossom.
I don't know that creative is the right word, but I do think everyone has something they do well, though it may be hard to label or name it.

I can't wait to see the books that you made. I would love to have known you in your "non creative" phase of life. I just can't imagine it.

I can't wait to see what the pictures look like. I wish I could come and spend a day with you and be able to learn from you. I love the things that you have made, you have a gift and a passion for what you make and it shows in the final product.

I too never have thought of myself as creative, I have thought/known that I am a good cook but never the creative part...but practice makes better.

I love everything about Paper Source. I wish that everyone could come out for a visit and go the the store by my house, it's two stories of fun and ideas and fabulous color.
