Catch Up: One more Easter Egg Hunt

You have to smile for the camera if you want to hunt for eggs!

The Monday after Easter (April 13th), we met some friends from our neighborhood for a potluck dinner and Easter Egg hunt in the park. It was a small group but such a great night! And luckily, the bad weather held off so we could enjoy being outside.

The kids played really well together- of course, it
involved climbing rocks, wading in the water and hunting for more candy eggs, so I'm not surprised they were happy. There were also enough older kids to watch out for the younger ones, so the adults were able to sit and visit and eat. I think I ate more than all my kids combined- the southwest salad and cupcakes were irresistible!

The lone teenage boy was sport enough to hide the eggs for us- would you have found this one:

Soren found it but needed some help to get it down. He first tried climbing the flagpole before realizing there had to be a better way! You think?!!

A big thank you to Jenny, who organized the fun and thought to invite us! We really had a great time. It is such a blessing to have friends!!

One more shot since this little guy is just so cute and had me smiling all night:

My daughter hide the Easter eggs around our house. She hide them so well, that we were finding them the rest of the week!

But by far the best hiding place I have ever seen, is the flag pole.

Yeah, climbing on rocks, wading in water, and hunting for candy eggs -- a kid's dream day! Love the flag pole one.
