geek!
I started a four week photography class on Wednesday night. I am WAY excited to learn how to use my camera and to take better pictures! And I LOVE the journal I made for the class (sorry, it didn't scan very well)! But I don't know if I'm going to survive the class. First, I am so OUT of student mode! There are fifteen people in the class and most of them took lots of notes, but I only took one page. I didn't think the instructor said anything that important! And two, the teacher is such a GEEK!! As in, pauses all the time to let people laugh because he thinks he is funny but nobody laughs because he isn't funny! As in, knows his material SO well that he can't explain it simply enough for us beginners. As in, hair greased back over his bald spot and a terrible tie making it only half way over his very round belly but it is good as far as he can see through his thick glasses. Really, that was just mean. Sorry. It is the constant pausing and laughing at himself that is going to drive me crazy! I am chalking it up to "first week" and I hope to learn lots. I already took a whole roll of pictures adjusting the aperture manually! Watch out Tara Whitney- you're not going to depress me with your brilliance any more!

You stealth class taker you--how fun. I think the journal looks awesome. Hopefully the class will improve so you get your money's worth. What did he cover so far? I'm so curious.
Cute journal. I love it! I hope the class improves for you! At least I hope you can get over the teacher's flaws enough to get something out of it.

Ok, I know I haven't been perfect in my Sunday attendance of late, but I'm pretty sure I see you on weekly basis. I'm also sure I was at your house last night till nearly 3 a.m. Not ONCE did you mention you were taking photography class. Next time I ask you what's new I'll have to scan your blog first so I know you aren't leaving me out of the loop on anything. You weren't kidding with that pensive comment, were you? And yes, the journal is adorable... as always. (P.S. Who is Tara Whitney?)
