laundry deterrent

No, I don't mean detergent. I mean deterrent, as in something to deter or prevent from acting. I have 11 loads of laundry to do today, but I couldn't resist letting this little guy have his fun! I had just taken the first load of jeans out of the dryer and into my room. When I came back, Ethan was already in the dryer- laughing and being pretty proud of himself! It was a cute distraction and when he was done, he helped me reload it. But then...

I heard the dryer stop and came upstairs to switch loads. When I opened the lid to the washer, all my clothes were still floating in a washer full of water! I pushed every button and twisted every knob- nothing! So I called Kelly and nothing he suggested worked. Then I called a repair man and of course, they can't come until tomorrow afternoon, it will cost me $35 to have it checked, AND I have to empty the washer of clothes and water for them to examine it! I don't know why I continue with these delusions that none of my appliances, automobiles, glue guns, Xyron machines, or electronics will ever break. I TOTALLY take them for granted! Except my washing machine! I thought, after 6 years of the laundromat with three babies, I knew how to be grateful for my washing machine. But today, I am struggling to type because my hands are chapped and my back aches from ringing out the load of clothes in my broken washer. How did people ever wash everything by hand? I will definately be MORE grateful for my washer and dryer when they get fixed. Please let that be tomorrow!

We bought a washing machine before a couch! I decided I would rather sit on the floor than go to the laundromat! (and we did for 3 months until Jimmy's parents bought a pool table and passed a 20 year old couch on to us!) I hope your's gets fixed soon!!

I too did the laundromat thing for 6 years and get giddy every day that I use our washer and dryer (kindly given to us by Amie and Jimmie). I don't take it for granted either and would be devestated if something happened to them. Good luck. (11 loads, aye carumba.)

Yikes. You of all the people I know really need to have a functioning washer and dryer. I don't think I've ever had 11 loads to do in my life. The wringing thing is just no fun. Good luck!

I'm so sorry about your washing machine. I don't know how you'll survive without it. I sure hope it's a quick and easy fix!
That Ethan is super cute though.

That is such a cute photo of Ethan :) How could you resist letting him play in the dryer?
