so blue
I know it's not a great photo, but Ethan isn't really cooperating with the camera today. I thought I would just update everyone- the swelling went down enough to put a hard cast on our little man this morning. He hates it- it is heavy and cuts into his fingers. He pulls at the cast and gets mad when he can't grab things. But, mostly, it isn't slowing him down! He is still running all over the place, smiling, laughing, CLIMBING!!! It is sad to see him wrapped up, but Emily has already been hit by his new club and feels a lot less sympathy than she did when he first came home! He has an appointment to have the cast removed the ninth of March. Until then, watch out for something blue!

How funny. He'll be able to defend himself with a vengeance with such a powerful arm. I'm sure he'll adjust quickly.
Poor guy. I bet this is tough for him. But I'm sure he'll adapt quickly and very soon he will be feared by all.
It's going to be a long month for everyone. Sympathy all around.
I don't envy you! It's a good thing that kids are so resilient and adaptive. They just adjust and move on.
Suddenly Micah and I are very grateful to be taking a couple weeks vacation from the Nielsen household... (not that we have a choice)
The poor little guy. And poor Emily, too, I guess. Come on, poor you too, Jenn, because as the mother you're going to have to deal with it all. Best wishes for a speedy month!
