Out to Lunch

and breakfast.
and dinner!

{our biggest group this trip, having dinner at Fortune Cookie in Riverton
which was SO good! the crispy prawns with pecans were heaven!}

I LOVE going out to eat! And having my mom in town last week was a great excuse to meet up with family for good conversation and good food! I was lucky this time- I'm the only one in Utah who has grandkids and who doesn't have to work every day, so my mom stayed with me and that meant I was in on all the eating- I mean, visiting! ;)

No, really. I love talking and laughing and being with my family. The food is just a really, really nice addition! And there was plenty of both to make a great week and a great visit with my mom.

It was sad to have her leave, but it is easier when I know when I will see her next and we have plans for two or three trips this summer! I know they will be great too and I'm sure they will include lots of eating out!

{Breakfast at Einstein Bros. Bagels in Provo; self portrait without Nate who had to get to class and Ethan who was too busy making faces at the guys sitting inside the window.

On my way out, I ran into Collette who was on her way in for lunch-
how fun is that?!!

While my mom was at Relief Society training (the real reason for this trip), Angela and I tried The Toaster Oven in American Fork. It was tasty. I am just mad that I didn't know my camera was in my purse while we were at the restaurant so the picture is in my driveway.

One last chance to get together before my mom left on Friday-
late breakfast at One Man Band in Lehi.

We didn't know when David would be free, so we met him one morning for breakfast at Mimi's Cafe in Sandy.

Angela came up to spend time with my mom before she left and ended up staying for a girl's night! Micah was working and Kelly went to a mission reunion, so we stuck kids in front of a movie with pizza and soda while we snuck upstairs with Cafe Rio and the next disc of Gilmore Girls!}

Your FAMILY sounds a lot like mine. We are always meeting at restaurants when they are in town.

Cafe Rio and Gilmore girls sounds so fun. I'm glad that you had such a good time with your Mom!

That sounds like a lot of good eats. So fun to have family as an excuse to go out and try new and old restaurants.

I'm so happy you got to be in on all the fun plans this time (instead of waiting around at your house). Cute pictures!

Nice. I don't know which sounds better, going to a restaurant or sneaking off with Cafe Rio and Gilmore Girls!
