Q: How Many People Fit In Your Shower?
A: ELEVEN
Ethan's head didn't quite make it in the picture and Nathan is very sneaky- you have to look close to find him, but I can fit ELEVEN people in my shower. (And still turn on the water- just ask Angela!)
Do they look a bit like a can of sardines? Well they should because that was the game we were playing when I discovered I could fit ELEVEN people in my shower.
When my family comes over on Sundays, we love to play games. This Sunday, we had David and Kristy, Angela and Micah, and Nathan all there to play. It can be hard to find a game that both the grown-ups and the kids can play together. I have to admit- I was skeptical about playing Sardines as I had not played in 16 years (my freshman year at BYU)! But my excitement started as soon as we turned out the lights in the house and started counting. It really was the most fun I have had in-- well, I don't know how long, but a long time. Who knew?!
Some of our other favorite games right now include Werewolf, Pit and Better Luck Next Time. The adult favorite right now (which we play almost every Sunday after kids are sent to bed) is San Juan, but we also like OkiNowaGin and we just discovered Quiddler (which is basically Scrabble in a card game).
I'm not a very good game player- I have no strategy and I hate losing, but Kelly loves any game and my family plays "nice" for me so that game nights are my favorite night each week AND they are great memories of time spent with people I love.
{What games do you play with your kids? Do you have a great 5 player game we should try?}

Woohoo for a new post from you after so long!!!
This picture is hilarious. It's so great that your house is the place your family gathers and plays games.
Yeah, new post. I even said to myself as I clicked on your link. Why do I keep checking, Jen is never going to blog again. But I was happily surprised.
I love playing games but we never do. The kids favorite family night games are upset the fruit basket and Monster (lights out hide and seek)
Can I invite myself over for a game night???
So good to finally hear from you again.
I think Nathan was more wet than me, but he dried faster. I love that you still let us come play games!
Fun! I loved sardines in college. It was always a good way to cozy up with whatever boy I liked at the time-even if he didn't know it. I never would have thought to play it at home, though! Maybe in a few years when my kids are a little older.
he he that is way funny!
love sienna meek
LOL>...looks like fun! Never played sardines before. Might be one we give a try next family get together we have.
we were going to play sardines last night for FHE but it was still too light out when we were going to start so well have to remember that for next winter
Nathan, in a shower? Has he figured out what a shower is designed for?
Too funny! I've never played that game.
We love playing games, but we usually do it after Eva has gone to bed. (That, or she plays on a team with one of us.) We love Catan, Ticket to Ride (5 players), Boggle, Speed, Contract Rummy, and now speed Scrabble. I'm curious to try your favorites!
