Commencement
If you attend any graduation, it is inevitable that you will hear how commencement does not mean you have come to the end, but to a beginning. As we are beginning many things today, commencement seemed an appropriate title for this post.
Second, Kate went to see her classroom and meet her teacher as she begins a new program in a new school!! We are super excited for her to start this accelerated program and very nervous- they say there is a lot of homework, another first for my super smart 10 year old!
Finally, we took the other kids to Back to School night as we begin another school year at Snow Springs. It is weird to think we probably won't finish at this school. I didn't know what to volunteer for or how much I could commit to anything... but we are very excited to be going back to school, to getting back on a schedule and to spending some time every day away from each other! Let it commence!
First, Angela and Micah had their convocation today. We gathered again in the Marriott Center to celebrate their accomplishments and the beginning (almost) of "real" life for them.
(It was fun to see Michelle's husband, Marc, on the stand with the other professors! His suit was super swank! But I have to remember to ask why he wasn't in robes- I had a lot of time to wonder during the long winded Convocation speaker!)

What a darling family self-portrait! Yet again I am envying your long arms...
Marc didn't want to rent robes and he doesn't have his own. BYU now will pay for the rental, but he didn't know that, because he never bothers to read his email!!!
I love the family self portrait - what a treasure!
Love the family self portrait! We are excieted to get back to school. We go this afternoon for back to school night at Legacy! Hopeful that you sell your house soon, so you can have every one at the same school. Know how crazy it can feel having children at different schools. I will have children at 4 different schools my self this year.
Those monkey arms are so handy, because fitting a family of 7 in a self-portrait is no easy task.
Good luck with all this commencing!
I love Kate's first self portrait!
You look so great in that family SP- those long arms are something to be grateful for!
