Must keep busy!
Jill was kind enough to email me this afternoon and remind me that I had not posted since September 1st! Blogger had actually forgotten me! I had to log in again. That is a sad state of affairs.
Unfortunately, I find myself in a Catch 22 (which I can say with some authority, having agonized over all 700+ pages of the book!). The Catch 22 is: If I want to get anything done, Ethan needs to play the computer but if I kick him off the computer, I can't get anything done!
Today, in between four loads of laundry, three loads of dishes, making 5 beds, picking up the house, wiping down 3 bathrooms and mopping my kitchen floor- I played:
It is actually a good thing- I have to keep busy, even if that means playing "run around like me" or I will quickly dive into a nasty, snappy, ugly depression. Selling a house is more demanding of my time and disposition than I ever thought it would be! It is now taking a pretty severe toll on my overall mood! While I know that things will work out in the Lord's time, I am tired of feeling in limbo; being without fall clothes, school supplies and my craft room; and dealing with car pool, backpacks, and food FOUR times a day! As long as I keep my mind occupied, I am okay.
So, thank you Jill for wondering where I have been and if all is well. Ethan and I are keeping busy but I will try not to let blogger forget me again!

- Little Peoples go for a ride with GI Joe
- Barbie goes to the movies" (I was the soundtrack, Ethan was the star.)
- "Run around like me Mom!"
- "girlfriend game" (Ethan told me he is the kind of girlfriend that likes to talk NOT listen to the radio. and yes, I said Ethan was a GIRLfriend)
- Fairytopia (which requires that I save Ethan/Elina over and over and over.) AND
- "Bad Guys" (where I follow Ethan down the road until a cat distracts him from the game and we can run home to find a treat, otherwise known as a chance to sit down.)

Hooray you posted! I think blogging should be part of your daily sanity-saving program so that you don't feel cut off and alone and so that we all know what you're up to or struggling with (even if that doesn't change). It's just better to blog (that's my motto).
You are a great mom to Ethan, because I would not be playing all those games with him. Kid-play is so hard for me and fortunately my kids were good (and still are) about playing by themselves a lot. I'm surprised he doesn't go to preschool or Pony Pals or something. Are you just hanging on because you don't want to let him go? Understandable.
Welcome back, Jenn. I was wondering where you were. But I also have to admit, I don't feel nearly so bad about my lack of posting when you're not posting. Although I'm not nearly as busy as you, and I don't play as many games with my kids. Good grief! How do you do it all?
oh my. i am so impressed with the fun you are having.
i have missed you but given my break over the summer, i certianly know how it is.
i hope the house works itself out. i don't look forward to that journey any time soon.
sending hugs your way.
ps- hilarious envelope arrived last week for cass from kate. it said "NO MOMS ALLOWED" on the corner and something else that i can't remember but equally as funny.
Glad you are back!!
wow how fun all those games...yeah i keep checking your blog and you were still with the blue y, white that is, blue flag
Welcome back. I have been wondering what was happening with your house. I hope you find a buyer soon!
How do you do it??
So good to see a post from you!
On man, you play a lot! What a good mom you are. I'm glad Dane can't read, if he read this he'd expect way more! No wonder you haven't been around!
Sorry about the house woes. I love your attitude though. We never know the time frame and sometimes that gets frustrating. Hang in there.
blogger forgetting you is a sad situation indeed. I hope that doesn't happen again!
I can relate to this post so much. Except Eva's babysitter is the Nickelodeon. or Sesame Street. If I turn off the TV I can't get anything done! But if I leave it on I feel too guilty! So I try to find a balance, and I play a lot of games that I have no interest in playing. It's a good thing they're so dang cute, huh?
